Social Impact Advocate
We are seeking passionate student leaders on campuses across the country to help us spread the message: young professionals do not need to decide between doing good for the world and doing well for themselves. You will be our go-to person for your college or university, sharing our mission, giving us feedback, and helping us strategize our outreach.
We want you to engage with your college community over the course of the school year by doing some of the following:
Participating in regular social media campaigns
Handing out or posting quarter sheets/flyers
Reaching out to professors, clubs, or centers on-campus to talk to them about partnership with Second Day
Chatting with friends and peers - tell them about this cool thing you’re involved in!
What We Need
We don’t need a superhero, just someone committed to the mission and able to find a way to get stuff done. More specifically, someone who is:
Excited about a social impact career themselves.
Interested in sharing cool ideas with their social networks
Active on social media
Flexible and willing to participate in and give feedback on a pilot program at a young organization
What You Deserve
One of our core values is working with purpose, in every sense. The work you do for Second Day serves us. But this is also about you. Here are some of the things that are in it for you:
Resume boost (fancy title, shiny/new organization, strong future references)
Insider access to social impact leadership/mentorship network
T-shirt, laptop stickers, or other cool Second Day swag
After one year, high-achieving Advocates who want to stick with it will have the opportunity to become an Advocate Leader/Coordinator and help coordinate a regional team of Social Impact Advocates.
