Application and Eligibility

Am I eligible to become an Impact Fellow?

In order to be eligible for the program this year, you must:

  • Plan to graduate from one of the participating campuses (Georgetown, Harvard, Rice, or UT Austin) between January and August of 2020. Due to the intense in-person support provided during the school-year, we are currently unable to support those already out of school.

  • Be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or DACA Recipient. Most of our Company Partners don’t have the resources to go through the process of sponsoring a visa, so we require independent work authorization through August of 2021 for all applicants.

If you are interested in bringing the Second Day Impact Fellowship to your campus, please contact us here.

How to Apply

Applications for the Class of 2020 open up on August 15, 2019. The application period closes October 1, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. The first round application shouldn’t take more than an hour or two to complete. It requires only:

  • Resume

  • Basic academic and background questions

  • A short writing sample (less than 500 words) to the question: “Why are you interested in social change? What type of impact do you hope to make?”

If accepted to the second round, you will receive an email on the evening of October 7th with two pieces of information:

  • A work sample assignment to be completed by October 9th at 11:59 PM

  • A link to schedule a final round interview between October 10th and October 18th
